“THE WALKERS IN TOWN SESSIONS” is a cultural event series hosted by Johnnie Walker that brings together music and whisky cocktails. The next installment will take place on Saturday, August 8, at “DRIFTWOOD by JOHNNIE WALKER BLONDE” on Zaimokuza Beach in Kamakura.

Set in the open, seaside atmosphere of “DRIFTWOOD by JOHNNIE WALKER BLONDE”—a venue open for a limited time on Zaimokuza Beach—this event invites guests to enjoy live performances and music alongside “Johnnie Walker Blonde” drinks, all while experiencing the special atmosphere of the evening “magic hour.”

A summer-only beach house open for a limited time (July 1 – August 31, 2026) on Zaimokuza Beach in Kamakura. Offering an open seaside space to enjoy “Johnnie Walker Blonde” during the magic hour, the venue serves the light, fruity whisky alongside the brand’s recommended Lemonade Highball, exclusive original cocktails, food, and music. Guests can spend a special time unique to a Kamakura summer as the evening transitions into the magic hour. * Admission is restricted to those aged 20 and older, except for children accompanied by a guardian.

【Tribe Sampler Collective】
A band project that reimagines the music left behind by Nujabes—as well as the songs he loved—through collaborations with internationally active musicians. Centered on jazz but fluidly traversing hip-hop and soul, they channel that spirit into the present day through live sessions. Tribe Sampler Collective, known for their Nujabes Tribute Set at GREENROOM FESTIVAL, has been confirmed for this special last-minute appearance.

【w.a.u DJ set】
A Tokyo-based creative collective and label. Its members are active as producers, singers, and DJs, and the label itself can transform into a band or a DJ crew. As a production team, they not only provide tracks for artists like iri, Sarasa, VivaOla, and Wez Atlas but also serve as their backing bands. Additionally, all members actively release their own original music as artists. They have made their mark on their generation through events at venues like BATICA, Solfa, and Contact, garnering intense interest from various media outlets and music enthusiasts as a label to watch in the next-generation scene. Kota Matsunaga and Ryuju Tanoue participate in the “flows” project.

【DJ Chika a.k.a. Inherit】
After releasing the album Attitude as part of Cradle and the solo album Up the River, he released Velvet Ballads under the name Cradle Orchestra. To date, the artist has collaborated with a diverse range of international acts—including Black Thought (The Roots), CL Smooth, Talib Kweli, Speech, Guru (Gang Starr), De La Soul, and Aloe Blacc—establishing a unique sound that transcends genres. They perform annually at the “A Tribute to Nujabes” memorial event and have released material through “Tribe,” a sub-label of Hydeout Productions. In recent years, they have been active as a member of the Nujabes Metaphorical Ensemble, performing at major festivals both in Japan and abroad, such as flows, SONICMANIA, and FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL.
